Our expert team of instructors offer a variety of fun, full-body workouts to keep you moving and improve your wellness! Group classes are available both in the water and on land. Sign up for monthly classes or, if single-session participation is preferred, drop-in rates apply.

Classes Offered

All of the fitness and wellness courses listed below are core fitness classes and included with HAC membership unless otherwise noted as a premium wellness class.  Premium wellness classes are not included with membership and are an additional cost for all participants.

Registration for all classes – core or premium – is required for all participants — member or non-member.

Aqua Power

Aqua Power provides a high intensity workout utilizing both the Lazy River and attached five-foot-deep pool. This class emphasizes raising the heart rate and maintaining a faster pace while increasing your strength in a low-impact environment. Water workouts provide up to 12x more resistance than land workoujts, so this is a different way for all ability levels to get a full-body workout!

Aqua Zumba®

Aqua Zumba® is a low-impact, high-energy aquatic class that blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance. It is a fun and invigorating workout that takes place in our Flex Pool. Aqua Zumba® is perfect for those looking to make a splash by adding aquatic exercise to their Zumba® fitness routine. This class is designed to be less impactful on joints, and the natural resistance of water makes every step more challenging in addition to toning muscles.

Barre Fusion

Barre Fusion is an upbeat, low-impact strength workout that enhances muscle tone, posture, and flexibility, all in a class that blends ballet, functional strength training, music and mind-body movement. These exercises are performed with precision and concentration for ultimate results. Each of the movements can be modified to match your unique skill and strength levels.

Cardio Golf*

Cardio Golf is for both golfers and non-golfers. No ball is required and all swing drills will be done with the 23″ Shortee Golf Club provided by LPGA Teaching Professional and Certified Cardio golf trainer, Britni Gielow. Learn golf specific warm-ups, swing drills for more power and speed, fixes for swing faults and moves for strength flexibility and endurance. Less focused on “Cardio” and more focused on stretching exercises.

Cycle Express

Start your morning with this time efficient all levels indoor cycling class, it will get you burning calories, challenging yourself, and most importantly having FUN! Every 30-minute class will be a unique and heart pumping workout customized by the instructor!

Deep Water Fitness

Deep Water Fitness provides maximum resistance for a great low-impact workout. This workout increases muscle tone, building strength and flexibility in an aerobic capacity. Working against the water with your body submerged challenges you to move using only your muscles and joints. This class is taught in water at least 12 feet deep, utilizing flotation belts/aids.

Functional Fitness

Geared toward our active senior population, this purposeful fitness class will mimic everyday tasks with an emphasis on balance to help ease your daily activities. Movement patterns include walking, squatting, bending, pushing and pulling, as well as other variations to stimulate all of the major muscle groups in your body. Adaptive movements are always available for those with limitations. Strength is functional and we will make it work for you. 

Indoor Cycling

This premium, all-level, indoor cycling class will get you burning calories, challenging yourself, and most importantly having FUN! Every 45-minute class will be a unique and heart pumping workout customized by the instructor!

Intro to Kayaking*

Get ready to learn the fundamentals of kayaking in a safe, controlled environment to eventually obtain the skills and techniques to play in all types of liquid delight. From floating in a pond, to navigating a river, to even surfing waves . . . come and enjoy kayaking HAC style! Must bring own kayak, fully cleaned, to class. Offered as a one-time class on November 10 or December 8, both at 12:00pm-3:00pm.

Move and Stretch

A free-form class combining stretching and mobility for the whole body. This workout will balance your routine with additional flexibility training and prepare you for the day ahead. Step out of the water and onto the mat for a gentle full body workout.

Pilates + HIIT

You will get your Pilates-based, high intensity cross training fix in this class and be worked from head to toe. With this CORE-focused fusion class, be ready to challenge your strength, flexibility, and balance. All levels welcome!

Power Up Strength

Power Up Strength is a full-body workout designed to help improve muscular strength. This class will incorporate traditional weight-room exercises using a variety of fitness equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells & more to mix up your fitness routine & challenge your entire body. Plus, get the added bonus of core work and short bursts of cardio throughout the class.

Shallow Water Fitness

Shallow Water Fitness provides a great cardio challenge. Raise your heart rate and maintain a faster pace while also increasing your flexibility in a low-impact environment. Water is up to 12 times more resistant than a workout on land, so this is a different kind of full-body workout than you might be used to!

STRONG Nation®

Light the fuse and maximize your caloric burn in this 30-minute total body workout. The time will fly by as you train to the beat of the music. We combine body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometrics to burn calories while toning your arms, legs, abs and glutes. All moves are modifiable, and all fitness levels welcome, come join the sweat sesh! Your instructor will guide you every step of the way as you squat, kick and punch your way to your fitness goals & beyond! 

Water Works (Stretching and Mobility)

Water Works uses exercise in warm water for the release of tight muscles and lengthening of tissues. Exercises are focused on balance, range of motion, core stability, and posture. It’s ideal for people with arthritis, or joint problems and helps make daily tasks easier. The water helps support each movement so you can continue to move freely.

Water Works Plus (Stretching and Mobility)

Water Works Plus is a class built around the warm water for the release of tight muscles and lengthening of tissues with the addition of continued restoration. Exercises are focused on balance, range of motion, core stability, and posture. It is ideal for people with arthritis, or joint problems and helps make movement better. The water helps support each movement so you can continue to move freely.

Women Aging Powerfully*

*Premium fitness offering. Offered as a one-time workshop on November 16 from 10:15am to 11:15am.

Join us for an empowering and transformative workshop designed specifically for peri and post-menopausal women. This interactive session will provide a safe and supportive environment to explore the unique challenges and opportunities that come with this stage of life.

What to Expect:
+ Understanding Menopause: Gain insights into the physical and emotional changes during peri and post-menopause. Learn about hormonal shifts and their impact on your body and mind.

Yoga Flow

Yoga Flow is a mixed level class designed for participants of all abilities. We will link breath and movement together to build strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence on the mat. Each practice will guide you through yoga postures and stretches with intention and alignment awareness while offering modifications to both increase or decrease the challenge as you move within each pose. A dynamic class suitable for exactly where you are in your training.

Yoga + Pilates

Yoga and Pilates builds muscle strength and flexibility. This class features fundamental exercises that improve your posture, core strength and flexibility by practicing breath control, engaging in dynamic stretches, balance work, core exercises, and coordination. All ability levels welcome!

Zumba®

Join the dance party! Get ready for guaranteed fun in this high-energy, Latin-inspired dance class. Zumba® incorporates moves from Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Rumba, Mambo, Belly Dance, Flamenco, Samba, Tango, Reggaton, and of course, Hip Hop.  You’ll forget you’re working out with this fun and easy-to-do aerobic workout that targets your legs, abs, glutes and arms. Best of all, no previous dance experience is necessary!

Fitness Equipment & Facilities

Fitness Center

Improve all aspects of your wellness at HAC. Access our state-of-the-art community fitness center with a membership or a single-visit pass. Equipment includes:

  •  Cardio machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, stair machines, and rowing machines
  • Machine weights for upper and lower body
  • Free weights (1-80 pounds)
  • Open space for aerobic or plyometric exercise
  • Stretching area
  • Individual displays on cardio machines

Fitness Room Age Guidelines

Ages 12 to 15: May only use aerobic equipment. Use of any free weights or weight machines is prohibited. Must complete a fitness orientation, have parental consent form on file, and be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the fitness room at all times.

Ages 16 and 17: Must complete a fitness orientation and have a parental consent form on file. Parental supervision is not required.

Indoor walking and running track

Our 1/10-mile indoor walking and running track is accessible from open to close, seven days per week, to those with single-visit passes and memberships. Enjoy plenty of natural light and large windows overlooking the warm zone, splash zone, lobby, and the quiet, tree-lined streets of our Westcore Neighborhood.

Mobility devices (walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, etc.) and strollers (single-wide only) are welcome on our indoor track! To keep our facility neat and clean, please ensure that wheels are free of dirt and debris before using the indoor track.
