We Are HAC! – Rachel Schlatter

At Holland Aquatic Center, our facilities are awesome and so is our staff.  In this We Are HAC! series, we’ll introduce you to the people who love to teach, coach, protect, serve and inspire here. Our amazing team, almost 100 strong, is passionate about empowering healthy, connected lives through aquatics and wellness programming. Meet them here in this blog series and in-person at Holland Aquatic Center!

As the Community Wellness Manager at Holland Aquatic Center, Rachel Schlatter makes it her mission to provide broad-based and well-rounded opportunities for members and guests to work toward and achieve their fitness and wellness goals. From HAC’s myriad fitness equipment to dryland classes and water aerobics to our new track operation, she oversees it all. Community engagement and collaboration, whether with support groups or wellness seminars or Fit Kids H20), is also a component of Rachel’s role at HAC.

One of her many duties at HAC, Rachel teaches deep water aerobics.

Rachel has been an HAC staff member since 2016, starting first as a coach with MLA Swim and then transitioning to her current role with the new expansion of HAC.  A native of West Lafayette, Indiana, she has had stops at Denison University and Quincy University as a swim coach before arriving at HAC. Each experience built her passion and knowledge to serve and impact the Holland community’s wellness needs.
