Originally from California, Darrin is a 1986 graduate of Holland Christian High School and a 1990 graduate of Hope College. In June of 2021, Darrin will be celebrating his 30th year as the Parks & Recreation Director at Holland Charter Township. He currently serves on the West Ottawa Public Schools Board of Education and as a Regional Vice President for the USA Softball Board of Directors.
Darrin also works as a public address announcer for Hope College athletics including basketball, soccer, softball, and lacrosse. Darrin began serving on the HACSPA Board as a representative of Holland Township in 2012. He is married to Holland-native, Amy Von Ins, and has two daughters, Lauren (24) and Elizabeth (21).
