We are HAC! – Jaunine Hackmon

Though Jaunine Hackmon may be one of Holland Aquatic Center’s newest employees, her community-mindedness and commitment to youth development is longstanding. Prior to arriving here in June 2022, she served both AmeriCorps and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland with their youth development efforts.

Now as HAC’s administrative assistant, Jaunine provides support to our community outreach and partnerships, to the work of the HAC Foundation, and to our front desk operations and staff. And for her outstanding work, she’s been named HAC’s November Employee of the Month.

“I like filling different roles and supporting where I’m needed most,” she says.

Jaunine grew up in Chicago and became a West Michigander when she enrolled at Hope College and graduated in 2016 with a major in dance and a minor in leadership. There, she was involved in sacred dance, Emmaus Scholars, and Campus Ministries. Today, she finds dancing opportunities at HAC in our Zumba and Barre Fusion classes!

When she is not working or exercising, Jaunine loves to cook (especially breakfast foods) and tend to her many house plants. We are delighted that she is now continuing to grow along with us at HAC!
