    • Cardio may be completed on your own at HAC or outside the facility. Tracking is done individually by each participant using the handout provided at the 2nd floor Fitness Desk.
    • Examples of cardio exercise include purposeful walking, running, biking, HIIT workouts, aqua-jogging, water aerobics, swimming, rowing, and using the stair stepper.
  2. Register on RecDesk by February 8 in order to participate in the raffle. The cost to join the challenge is $5 for HAC members and $15 for non-members.
  3. If you complete the challenge, please turn in your handout to the 2nd floor Fitness Desk by 5:00pm on March 5.

American Heart Month is a time when all people, especially women, are encouraged to focus on their cardiovascular health.1 Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups.2 Fortunately, there are a variety of lifestyle changes that can be made to improve the conditions that put people at a higher risk for heart disease! Throughout the month of February, we will be highlighting ways that you can reduce stress, increase your physical activity, add heart-healthy foods to your diet, and work towards being a healthier, happier you!
