Swim Across the Big Lake
Nick Hobson, a member here at the Aquatic Center, will soon be embarking on a challenge to swim across Lake Michigan, from Manitowoc, Wisconsin to Ludington, Michigan a distance of approximately 55 miles. If successful, he will become only the second person to successfully swim this route after Jim Dreyer’s crossing in 1998.
In attempting this swim, Nick is fundraising for the Mike Daley Swim Fund, that is used here at HCAC to give under privileged 6-10 years olds the opportunity to strengthen their swimming skills. He is also fundraising for The Pink Fund, a Michigan based non profit who support women undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
