Former Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics coach, Don Kimble passed away after a battle with cancer, on Monday, May 25. Don was a beloved coach and a valued member of the Holland Community Aquatic Center’s history. Throughout his career, he served as a leader and mentor for countless athletes in the West Michigan area. Many specifically state Don helped them to exceed their own expectations of themselves both within the pool and outside in life.
Over the years, Don coached for Holland Christian, Holland High, Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics, and Byron Center. He also received the honor of being elected to the Michigan High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. Our Holland Community Aquatic Center team would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Kimble family during this difficult time.
